Upgrade Guidelines:
- CDC recommending increased air changes and MERV 13 filtration for all employers
- Assuming virus carried by 0.3-1.0 particle, 58% jump in efficiency between M8-M13
- MERV 13 upgrade suitable for most if not all units >5 TONS
- Assuming change out point @ 2X Initial Resistance, jump from .3-.4 likely insignificant, however increased resistance/particle capture with lower DHC in a M13 could result in higher replacement frequency. Inspect to determine frequency.
- Upgrade from M8 to M13 prefilter is NOT a replacement for a final stage filter (MERV 13 Pre filter is not comparable to Mini Pleat/VXL. Please reach out for further education if needed)
